American folk act LUX INTERNA released their new album „New Wilderness Gospel“ on May 2, 2025. Next month, you can see them on two occasions in Europe – first with an intimate duo performance at Galiläakirche in Berlin, Germany, later hosting a salon at the Embassy of the Free Mind in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Joshua and Kathryn will be performing in Berlin at Galiläakirche—an independent venue for music, film, literature, and performance housed in the hauntingly beautiful architecture of a 19th-century Prussian church.
Set within the church’s resonant space, this stripped-down duo performance will reimagine offerings from „New Wilderness Gospel“—both the album and the novella—as an intimate liturgy of improvised sound, song, and spoken word.
Interweaving minimalist, devotional renditions of songs from the album with atmospheric soundscapes and live readings from their experimental novella of the same name, the performance unfolds somewhere between the modalities of musical performance, prayer, and ceremony.
