For reasons beyond their control, IMHA TARIKAT are being forced to cancel their show in Istanbul, Turkey that was planned for December 5. Yet the German band with Turkish roots is not ready to surrender yet, and has posted a call for support:
IMHA TARIKAT state: „Dear Friends, unfortunately we have to share unsettling news with you“, mastermind Kerem Yilmaz writes on behalf of the band. „Our show in Istanbul, Turkey had to be cancelled in an emergency. Yet, we cannot give the reasons as that might endanger certain individuals that are not part of this band. Out of respect for their privacy, what actually happened needs to remain confidential, although this might be detrimental to us. Please grant us that the promoters and the band, have tried every angle to set up a show at an alternative location. Unfortunately, this was denied to us as well and support has not been sufficient. We were very much looking forward to finally be able to perform in Turkey and share your disappointment. The show was organised with a DIY approach, and we had accepted to cover a substantial part of the expenses. The current situation leaves us with nothing but the flight tickets that we had bought. Then again, we are not ready to give up yet on bringing our chants of wild unity to you: We will arrive in Istanbul on December 5, and we will stay until December 7. If there is someone out there, who can offer us a chance to play for our Turkish friends during that time, please get in touch and we will try to work something out. We will not stop uniting people with our music beyond any differences of ideals or beliefs. To love is to burn!“
