After many years of silence Skagos has finally returned: The late 2000s were characterized by the emergence of Cascadian black metal, redefining the North American landscape as it pertained to black metal, leaving behind the imagery and aesthetics of the 90s Scandinavian scene and opting for something that embodied the spirit of the pacific north west, Olympic and Cascadian regions. Among those that shined brightest in that world were Skagos. A band whose music emulated none and stood brilliantly apart from their contemporaries.
Skagos was trance inducing, thought provoking and permeated its listeners with the damp mist, vibrant moss and icy frost of their home land. Bringing about visions of grandeur just as much as silent contemplation.
It is an honor to welcome them amongst the bindrune family, a place they have long belonged, among their many brothers and sisters in spirit.
