U.S. Hateful Death Metal band, CALCRAFT, recently signed to Lifeforce Records are set to release their debut album, Reborn Through Torture, on November 21st digitally, with physical album release on January 30th.
The band now return with the second single from the new effort, Perpetually Stabbed. CALCRAFT also shot a music video for the new song, in style of 1990’s Death Metal videos: CALCRAFT – Perpetually Stabbed (official music video)
Calcraft takes it’s lyrical inspiration from Giallo horror and classic American slasher films. This is not a brand new frontier for American Death Metal, but more of a continuation of it’s honored tradition. Comparable to the tropes horror audiences are accustomed to when seeing a new film at the cinema. Perpetually Stabbed could be seen as the apex of this thematic homage of horror for the album; it’s the band at it’s most visceral.
With the uncompromising credo “Unrelenting death metal. No trends. No mercy.” CALCRAFT define their sound – and with their debut album „Reborn Through Torture“, they deliver a merciless statement against anything watered-down or trend-driven.
The Texas-based outfit stands for raw, hate-fueled death metal, deeply rooted in the legacy of Immolation, Suffocation, and Incantation. But CALCRAFT go further: their songs are steeped in dark atmosphere, thrashy aggression, and a cinematic violence that feels ripped straight from the bloodiest scenes of Giallo and slasher films.
Their name is no coincidence – William Calcraft, England’s infamous executioner, serves as a grim source of inspiration. Like their namesake, CALCRAFT show no mercy: their music is an auditory noose, each track an execution. „Reborn Through Torture“ is a blood-soaked manifesto of riffs, madness, and horror, dragging the listener into a world of pain and cinematic carnage.
Each song tells a story – of insanity, torture, and final breaths. CALCRAFT don’t aim to entertain; they aim to disturb. Their goal is to create a threatening sonic landscape that sounds like “a blood-soaked soundtrack to the final scene you never survive.”
Those who face this album won’t be spared. CALCRAFT hold themselves to their own brutal standard – and deliver death metal in its most relentless, uncompromising form.
