Rising UK post-metalers Dimscûa have signed to Big Scary Monsters and have announced the long awaited physical release of their critically acclaimed debut LP ‚Dust Eater‚. The vinyl will be released on February 20th.
„Big Scary Monsters is probably not the label you’d think of to release Dust Eater on vinyl. The album is a lot heavier than your typical BSM release so we can’t thank Josie and Kev enough for trusting us. BSM are such a deep-rooted part of the UK independent music scene, we’ve been fans of theirs for years so we’re honoured to join a label with such a wealth of talent on their roster.” – Dimscûa
Originally released in June of this year, ‚Dust Eater‘ immediately struck a chord. The bands initial expectations of the album were humble, planning just to put it out on Bandcamp and be done with it, the record has gone on to resonate with a multitude of fans and industry people of the heavy/experimental music world.
Gavin McInally (Damnation Festival) highlighted the record on the acclaimed podcast 2 Promoters, 1 Pod, calling it “the best extreme music to come out of the UK in 2025”. That conversation led directly to the band’s invitation to make their live debut at ArcTanGent 2025 (booked by co-host James Scarlett). They played their first ever show to a packed tent of 3000 people, solidifying their place among the UK’s most promising heavy newcomers. They were later confirmed for Damnation 2025 festival, where they would prove that ArcTanGent was no fluke and perform their third live show to a packed room of 2000 people.
With interest in Dimscûa beginning to build, ‚Dust Eater‘ began receiving more attention in the press with Metal Hammer naming it among the magazine’s Best Albums of 2025 (So Far).
With a physical release of Dust Eater, due out on 20th Feb 2026 via independent record label Big Scary Monsters, and a second record planned for 2026, Dimscûa continue their pursuit of catharsis through volume and vulnerability. Proof that from the heaviest grief, the most powerful art can emerge.
