On February 20th internationally, Amor Fati Productions will release the debut mini-album of the pan-international Vorago, Morulus, on CD and 12″ vinyl formats. And today, the No Gleaming Light YouTube channel streams the mini-album: Vorago (Germany/Mexico) – Morulus (Full Length) 2026
With members situated between Germany and Mexico, Vorago are not mysterious by design; rather, the foul deeds recorded shall speak everything that needs to be said. Witness their debut mini-album, Morulus.
Vorago waste no time whipping forth their fever dream of black metal violence. Foremost aesthetic forebears would be Sweden’s equally cantankerous Kill and The Third Eye Rapists, but the band bring a uniquely bestial flavor to this cauldron across the mini-album’s eight-song / 31-minute runtime.
Recorded, mixed, and mastered at Scumlight Studio, Morulus pulses and pounds with a seething malevolence, one steeped in the harshest corners of the black metal underground. Peel back the rotten exterior further and one will find an almost-monastic solemnity to this ceaselessly roiling tumult; the vocals sometimes recall Attila’s haunting depths on Mayhem’s De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas. But the crunched & crushed decibels soon wipe away any thoughts of quietude: Vorago are nothing if not restless, and their songwriting betrays a skillful sort of „order from chaos.“ Submit to the slipstream and Morulus will waste you completely.
