KERZENLICHT and KIROUS stream split album

On April 15th, Signal Rex will release a split album between Kerzenlicht and Kirous on CD and cassette tape formats. And the No Gleaming Light YouTube channel streams the split album in its entirety: Kerzenlicht (Finland) / Kirous (Finland) – Split 2026

After a well-received demo tape released in early 2025, Kerzenlicht return with four brand-new tracks of uncompromising, primitive Finnish black metal. Like the grim & miserable dungeons that began opening in earnest during the mid-2000s, Kerzenlicht’s orkish filth harkens to ancient times with an authenticity that’s rare and righteous. Joining them are their comrades Kirous, whose mainman currently numbers such estimable hordes as White Baroness and Sigon. As Kirous, he’s been incredibly prolific on the demo front, and here contributes two new tracks alongside an introductory piece. The band’s mystical mid-tempo march is similarly nostalgic, and uniquely imbued with virtuosic leads.

For those who still hold a torch for unsafe spaces, this split record signals a new landmark for both bands.
