Moral Implant formed in October 2017 as a shared perspective on playing and fusing diverse musical tastes. Simply put, three friends banded together to create unique, dark, and ominous death metal, truly powerful and low-sounding, uncompromising and furious, as an expression of opposition to the current musical climate and current fashion. „Everything we create musically is based on our own principles,“ state the band, „and what we offer is our collective variation, wading through furious darkness on a musical and lyrical journey, exploring the uncharted realms of psyche and pneuma.“
Indeed they do on Delusion, Moral Implant’s debut EP. Bookended by equally eerie intro and outro, Delusion comprises four main tracks for a duration of 18 minutes of ceaseless, swirling ultraviolence. Death metal on the surface, blackened below, and exhibiting a grindcore-like urgency, Moral Implant explode and combust with incendiary fervor, always realigning with an unsettling, fuckton-heavy angularity and burned-mind solos. Onward do they churn, always on the precipice of chaos but always with an intensity that’s tangible, terrible, and totally human – truly, the antithesis to so much sterile, cut & paste „metal.“ That ever-burning churn buttresses lyrics that rail against any fundamental religion and all forms of oppression. „We confront our work with the work of all creation, which began centuries ago, the great work of destruction, as if it were an end in itself…“
