„Through Crooked Aim“ wird am 21. April 2023 über ihr eigenes Label No Roads Records veröffentlicht. Es wurde im Old Jet in Suffolk aufgenommen und von Mt. Desolation produziert.
„Too Hard A Stone“ ist ein flotter, farbenfroher Vorgeschmack auf das neue Album. Die von Tim Rice-Oxley geleitete Band, die sich eher in den cineastischen Gefilden bewegt, ist ziemlich hochoktanig. In gewisser Weise erinnert er an BEN FOLDS FIVE und ist ansteckend und beschwingt – ein mitreißender, charmanter Alt-Pop-Song, der sich im Sonnenschein sonnt und für jedermanns Verhältnisse ein Bop ist.
Tim Rice-Oxley über den Song: „This song was written very quickly, in only about half an hour, and I was trying to express this idea that sometimes the difficult thoughts and feelings that we have can become so much a part of us that we kind of don’t want to move on from them. They sort of become our comfort zone and how that can then become a bit perplexing for people around us. But it was lot of fun to make and a lot of fun to record. I really love it as a band performance. It’s got loads of awesome little bits on it, including an incredible sax solo from our dear friend Jake Clemons from the E-Street Band.”
