Nytt Land – Hailambi Xulembi (The Ritual of Exorcising an Evil Dead Spirit) [Official Music Video]

NYTT LAND comment: „The song ‚Hailambi Xulembi‘ is an ancient Tunguso-Manchurian traditional shamanic spell to exorcise the evil spirit of a dead-man who haunts living people“, throat singer and multi-instrumenalist Anatoly Pakhalenko explains. „The lyrics of this track are taken from the ancient shamanic rituals of the Tungus-Manchurian peoples of Southern Siberia, who have been described in ethnographic monographs by Russian and Chinese scientists studying the way of life and religious worldviews of these people in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. ‚Hailambi Xulembi‘ was recorded in compliance with the preliminary protective shamanic rituals, some of which were filmed for the video clip. They were performed without abbreviations in the original language with the most accurate preservation of the phonetics and the power of this ancient shamanic spell. This recording may be used for shamanic and neo-shamanic rituals.“
