THURNIN elaborate on ‚The Gale‘: „This song basically wrote itself, and the main melody has been hanging over my head like a dark cloud for most of the album’s writing process“, composer and instrumentalist Jurre Timmer writes. „The last minute addition of vocals to most tracks has evolved the album beyond my debut, and especially in this song, it led into something different and way grander than I had set out to create. I am very pleased, how everything came together in this song, and after hearing the final version of this it was clear to me that this should be one of the singles.“
